Join the National Campaign for Tolerance

From About.com

The National Campaign for Tolerance is co-chaired by Rosa Parks and Morris Dees. Its goal is to enlist five million people to participate in tolerance initiatives in their own communities.

The hope is to gain momentum and influence as it evolves. Although there is no fixed deadline for the Campaign, officials hope it will peak on December 1, 2005 - the 50th anniversary of Mrs. Parks’ refusal to give up her seat on the bus that fateful day, the spark that ignoted momentum on the Civil Rights Movement. With Mrs. Parks again involved, this campaign offers millions of Americans the opportunity to actively participate in the nation’s ongoing struggle to end hate and racism.

The Center will send individuals who sign up to join the Campaign:

  • A Citizens Action Kit containing the Center’s newest publications
  • 101 Tools for Tolerance
  • Ten Ways to fight Hate
  • Declaration of Tolerance
It's not to late to get involved. Together we can help our nation live as a more just and accepting society. Read more information about this campaign.
